Why do beekeepers choose Acorn Pierco?
Bees draw it. Faster. Both sides.
The biggest complaint about plastic foundation is that bees ignore them. Our precision cell structure was engineered to fix exactly thatβbees recognize it, accept it, and pull beautiful comb across both sides of the frame. Real beekeepers managing dozens of colonies tell us it draws out faster than every other brand theyβve tried.
Built once. Beekeeps for years.
A redesigned, much stronger ear configuration. Sturdier, flatter, stiffer construction. No bowing. No warping. No re-gluing wood frames every spring. Pull a frame, inspect it, spin honey out of it, hose it downβit goes right back into the hive.
Choose your wax. Choose your draw speed.
Order unwaxed and apply your own, or pick from Standard, Double, or Triple beeswaxβapplied in-house with the finest beeswax we can source. Heavier wax means faster acceptance, which means more brood, more bees, and more honey on a tighter timeline.
One piece. Zero assembly.
No nailing, gluing, or wiring. No splintered hands at 11 p.m. before a Saturday inspection. Pull frames out of the box and into the super.
Made in California. Inspected at the source.
All frames are molded, waxed, and quality-checked at our California plant. Youβre not getting a generic import in a different labelβyouβre getting a frame an American manufacturer puts their name on.
Much less work
No more assembling and gluing frames. No more foundations. You should make acorn starter strip frames. When they are a big success you can give me free stuff. Or do you already make them?
Medium waxed frames purchased 2023 & 2026
The medium waxed frames purchased in 2023 have performed well in my Apimaye hives (7-frame NUCs & 10 frame ERGOs). Purchased another box of medium fames in 2026 to cope wth growth in my apiary. Bees have used them without hesitation. Easy to use for honey harvesting. Light & robust. Pack snugly in the medium boxes. Easy to add additional wax to frames (from cappings). Also used for placing sugar bricks for winter feeding (bricks made on frames (one side) & dried in place - rubber bands used to ensure bricks remain on frames / good success).
I have about 55 colonies in Clearwater Fl I've
I have around 55 colonies in Clearwater FL, I've been keeping bees for about 7yrs and I've tried just about every different brand that's out there Acorn plastic frames are hands down the best that's available, the bees draw every cell on both sides of the frame.
Durable and Will Prevent Wax Moth Damage
I bought these because I have had one or two in my boxes from years past. They are durable and well waxed. In the event I lose a colony and don't get to it fast enough, the wax moths will not destroy the frames as in a wooden frame. Even though I may have to scrape and pressure wash damaged comb, the frame is undamaged and can be rewaxed and reused.
Epic
Iβll never buy any other type of frame again. The bees use every square inch. They donβt fall apart. No brainer for me. Oh yea, no assembly required, and made in the USA
Great Product
Should have converted to all plastic frames and foundation long ago. So easy to use. I just waxed and they were ready to go in my supers. Also, they are more uniform when it comes to balancing in the extractor. Extra bonus, recyclable and made in the USA.
Good product/fast delivery
Overall good experience. I would have liked a little more communication on the delivery, but it came faster than expected so I didnβt deduct a star. Bees like the heavy wax.
Acorn black plastic frames
We are brand new beekeeper, and our mentor recommended adding a second deep. We bought the medium waxed frames. We love that they are black, which helps us see the brood, and that they are plastic and will last a long time. after only two weeks, they are being drawn out very nicely. We love them!
Bees draw these out before any other frames.
I'm switching to Acorn only. The bees fill Acorn frames out before any of the other frames I have. And, I can buy foundation only to keep my wooden frames as well.
Triple waxed frames
I really like these frames. The bees build on them with no problem. I order them triple waxed. A++ The only problem I notice is the supers are stuck together more tightly with wax on these plastic frames comparing with the wooden ones.
Plastic frame order
Thank you for being quick and efficient with my frame order. It was a big box of frames but was intact. I was able to get the supers put together and on the hive before they swarmed. Thank you.
Good so far
Ordered the extra heavy wax and the bees are building comb well. Even with the high shipping cost these seem to be the best bang for your buck.
