Pierco and Acorn Beekeeping Join Forces

Pierco and Acorn Beekeeping Join Forces as Acorn Pierco, Expanding U.S. Manufacturing and Support for Beekeepers

Pierco Beekeeping Equipment (“Pierco”) and Acorn Beekeeping Equipment (“Acorn Bee”) have combined their legendary capabilities to become a new company: Acorn Pierco. Together as one, Acorn Pierco will offer beekeepers more of what they want most: beekeeping products that bees prefer. No matter how you frame it, everything is built on a strong foundation - and Acorn Pierco is built on the strong combination of beekeeping expertise and high-powered manufacturing capabilities to produce precise, high-quality products.

Founded in 1977, Pierco has been a trusted name in the beekeeping industry for nearly five decades. That same year, Pierco pioneered the world’s first one-piece plastic bee frame and helped revolutionize the modern hive. Pierco® frames are renowned for their sharply defined cells, high-quality beeswax coating, and year-after-year durability. They are proven, functional pieces of equipment for modern beekeepers.

Acorn Bee brings over a decade of experience in plastic bee frame manufacturing to the table, backed by the resources and manufacturing expertise of family-owned Morris Group International (“MGI”). With a tight focus on plastic bee frames, foundations, and drone combs, Acorn Bee customers range from large commercial operations to small-scale hobbyists.

Now, the combination of two established brands into one company will offer Acorn Pierco new opportunities to serve beekeepers large and small. “I’ve always wanted to expand Pierco to multiple locations,” said John Caron, longtime Pierco owner and leader. “In the near future, that will now be possible.” Until then, Acorn Pierco will maintain operations in Chino, CA.

Acorn Pierco will continue to be customer driven. “It’s important to me that loyal Pierco customers know that, while our name is changing slightly, our product quality and the relationships we’ve built with our customers will not change,” John said. “I’ll remain deeply hands-on with operations at Acorn Pierco.”

“We are excited for our future, with continued growth, expansion, and product innovations to support the beekeeping industry,” said John. “We look forward to having you visit our website at www.acornpierco.com and coming to our booth at upcoming tradeshows.”
