The Acorn double and triple waxed frames are waxed with a high quality beeswax that smells like pure beeswax should. The bees build the frames out quickly and evenly during a honey flow. We experience very little cross comb construction. We appreciate the strong ears on the frames that don't crush when we lever frames out of the hive. The frames are uniform and go through our automatic uncapper without many mishaps. We like the convenience of a one piece frame that does not need assembly.
My bees loved these foundations, drew them out quick and orderly. I had one colony draw 30+ frames this season, that's how much they liked them! When it comes time to restock on foundations I will absolutely be buying Acorn foundations again!
I like the way you have the balancing damper on the lid now instead of an actual ball valve that connects to the vacuum, much better design and a cleaner look, the old way you could easily break off that ball valve and you would be screwed trying to balance the air at that point. Looking forward to catching more bees.

Well, what can I say about an awesome product?! We have a queen and we called Midget. She has always been small and not the best layer. We saw her the other day and she was big! I don't know if that can happen to bees but I think she loves the product! We now call her Mrs. Ed from Jeff Horchoff YouTube.

I use these for yellow jacket nest removal in conjunction with a full 3-layer ventilated bee suit. Sleevelets are a light weight cotton material, so maybe not sting-proof on their own but over the sleeves of my suit, the light material is less hot than my old gauntlets with heavy canvas.
The stiff gauntlet has plenty of room to fit over the elastic cuffs of my suit. This also puts the ventilated section further up my forearm so there's bee suit under it. This is important to me because I have been stung through the vents on my old gloves, which sat below the suit cuff.
The leather feels sturdy and supple and dexterity was good. I typically wear a medium to a large glove and these seem true to size. A medium fits a little snug, but I believe the leather will break in to be perfect and provide good dexterity.
Customer service was responsive and helpful at Christmas time and we were excited to give Dad this gift. After a number of years processing honey very inefficiently using various methods this honey spinner was a game-changer. I wish we had invested in it earlier!
