Package Bee Ordering, Shipping & Installation Guide
Clear rules, clean expectations, and the exact handling steps we recommend so your bees arrive safely and get installed correctly.
Package Bee Ordering & Shipping Rules
-
Queens cannot be added to a package order to ship together. Queens ship on different schedules. If you need a queen, it must be a separate order.
-
Future queens for splits must be ordered separately through customer service. Plan ahead if you’re building summer splits or expanding later in the season.
-
Package orders cannot be rushed. We ship on fixed dates only—no expedited or paid rush options are available.
-
All packages ship on Mondays. Packages typically leave Monday evening. Expected arrival is Wednesday (Thursday in some rural areas).
-
Packages ship via USPS (Post Office pickup). USPS does not deliver package bees to your door. You will be called when they arrive for pickup.
Tracking & Delivery Expectations
-
Tracking numbers may be generated before shipment. Labels can be created up to a week early. No movement before Monday night / Tuesday morning is normal.
-
Packages will not be stuck over a weekend. Shipping was moved to Mondays specifically to avoid weekend delays. Bees will never sit over the weekend.
-
Only the purchaser can pick up the package. The name on the label must match the person picking up. A photo ID is required. No third-party pickup.
Critical Pickup Reminder
- Be ready for the USPS call on expected arrival day.
- Bring photo ID and pick up promptly.
- Do not assume door delivery—packages are held at the post office.
Tracking Tip
Seeing a tracking number with no movement is normal until the package actually ships. Expect scan activity Monday night or Tuesday morning.
