Lysons Solar Melter

This Lyson beeswax melter uses the sun to process your wax.

Looking to use your beeswax to create something new? Beeswax can be processed into many things like candles, lipbalms, soaps, lotions and more! The first step is to melt down and filter beeswax, which is where the Solar Wax Melter comes in. This wax melter is a great and affordable way to process beeswax on a hobbyist level. Place your cappings and old comb on the metal pan within the melter, place the lid back on top and put the unit out in the hot summer sun to let the sun do its work! The melted wax will then drip down into the wax pan creating cakes of wax for your use. This product works best with non-plastic frames or foundation due to potential heat warping.

• This wax melter is not large enough to fit a full deep frame. 
• If you plan to use this melter for cappings left over from extracting, we recommend that you first try and rinse off as much honey as possible so you will have a clean finished product.
